When lovely 32-year-old Caroline arrives in New York, her only real aim is to succeed in the material world. Caro is a somewhat reckless journalist, blindfolded by career dreams and a hot love affair when she moves in next door to the World Trade Center. But dramatic changes and synchronistic events in her life serve as eye-openers. Henri, a powerful wizard-like man, and Ali, a struggling young musician, enter her life. An old craving for physical love and superficial beauty slowly fades as she begins to explore her own inner core. Caroline makes new choices for herself and discovers how intimately her individual actions seem to be linked with the destiny of our planet. Suddenly Caro is more aware of how much greed and destruction there is around her. She longs to reach the Truth, her own personal version of it. At whirlwind speed Caro meets mediums and mobsters, soul mates and lost spirits, psychics and party animals, gigolos and dominatrixes, spirit guides and teachers. Some are friends, some turn into foes, but all are necessary for her on the road to new important conclusions. Suddenly she realises that every individual is part of the Collective Unconscious and that each person is capable of influencing world change. When Caroline senses that her own life is intermingled with the September 11 learning process, she starts to make new choices for herself and the world.
